The collage in the bathroom

I am so excited about how this turned out...John had a fun idea to blow up some pictures from our honeymoon to hang up and I had been collecting some frames and had been loving pottery barn's wall/picture collages like this one...

and I had my eye on this wall in our bathroom...

So..the new pottery barn inspired collage...


The monogram is letters we used at our wedding..I spray painted them. Now I just need the price tags off and the pictures in!

Guest Room Update

Well, the guest room was used this weekend!!!! :) My sister, Lindsey, and her friend Sam were on their way back from working at a camp this summer. They stopped here and stayed for a few days before continuing their trip to Florida. Unfortunately, I have no pics to prove they were here :(. But, before they arrived, I did two more things to the guest room.

1. John helped me hang the curtain, with my $2.50 curtain rod from Pottery Barn Outlet :).



2. John helped me hang this window I found at an old antique store. I think it goes so well behind the bed! I love it!!!!

The Light Pendant and Ikea Rug

So I got this pendant at the Pottery Barn Outlet in Gaffney. It took a lot more work than I thought to actually make it into a light! My dad figured it out, though! He is the best! I love it!




We also got this rug from Ikea- so excited about it!

The Chandelier

I got this idea from a blog I follow called The Lettered Cottage. I spray painted the gold chandelier with oil-rubbed bronze spray paint. I then replaced all of the light covers...I couldn't find jute thin enough to add it to the top and bottom, so I just settled for the bottom. I hot-glued the strips on there, and it was ready to go! John was amazing and somehow knew how to hook it back up in the ceiling, and now it is as good as new! YEA!!
