An Easy Vase DIY

Here is an easy way to update a yard sale or thrift store vase and give it an old, rustic look! I bought this blueish vase at a yard sale for $3. I then used Modge Podge and covered the whole thing in tissue paper.

I then painted it with some yellow and cream paints I had.

Next, I took some dark brown stain and put it on a paper towel and began wiping it on there, mostly letting it darken the places that were raised from the tissue paper.

And voila!

You can do as much or as little stain as you want! This was super easy--maybe took me twenty minutes!
