The Bed

This bed used to be John's grandpa Gossett's. I didn't get a good before picture, but it was a cherry color. I really love how it turned out!

Latest House Pics

So since we have been married I have been "playing house" and loving it!! Here are some pics of the house- still a lot of work to do, but we are so blessed to have it and are having so much fun working and making it look better!

The Chandelier

I got this idea from a blog I follow called The Lettered Cottage. I spray painted the gold chandelier with oil-rubbed bronze spray paint. I then replaced all of the light covers...I couldn't find jute thin enough to add it to the top and bottom, so I just settled for the bottom. I hot-glued the strips on there, and it was ready to go! John was amazing and somehow knew how to hook it back up in the ceiling, and now it is as good as new! YEA!!

John's BIRTHDAY!!! 25!!

We had a great day celebrating John's birthday this year- July 5 fell on a Monday, so he had off for the 4th holiday. Everyone came over for a wonderful lunch, then we went and saw Toy Story 3! Fun day!!

The Desk

One of the first projects we worked on was refinishing an awesome desk we had gotten. We painted it black, then distressed it. So So excited about how it turned out!

Weekend With The Sisters

On Lindsey's way to Kamp Kanakuk this year, her and Lori drove through Alabama. Lori stayed with me for about a week, then my parents came down that weekend to get her, and celebrate John and my birthdays!

I made dinner for them when they arrived.


During this time, Seth had his wisdom teeth out...I loved helping him keep his "holes" clean :)

When my family got to Huntsville, we all got together and opened our wedding presents! What a blessing!!
